A Look at NovaThreads
NovaThreads are designed to lift areas of the face that are sagging due to the aging process. The procedure is non-surgical and involves no downtime. The NovaThreads are hypodermic needles that contain a suture made of Polydioxanone, or PDO for short. This absorbable suture has been approved by the FDA and is considered to be one of the safest materials to be used in the body, having been used in surgeries for years. The results of the procedure tend to last for about six to twelve months. Additionally, you will see the best results in 6-8 weeks.
The NovaThreads Procedure
Similar to dermal fillers, NovaThreads injections are performed in the comfort of our office. A tiny opening is made in the skin for the insertion of the threads. With that being said, no major cuts or incisions are made during the procedure. The NovaThreads are then injected beneath the skin, running parallel to the skin’s surface. Once the thread is skillfully inserted, the needle is carefully removed. The thread stays in its position, lifting the surrounding tissue for six to twelve months.
