While several sessions are necessary to achieve some cosmetic goals. However, you should understand your skin starts to become healthier after the first session. Here are just a few of the benefits you can expect from this treatment:

How Should I Prepare for This Treatment?
Preparing for this skin rejuvenation treatment is incredibly simple. However, it is very important that you adhere to all instructions to ensure the best treatment experience and results. Here’s a brief summary of what is expected of you.
Avoid Harsh Topical Products
During the 72 hours leading up to your scheduled microneedling session, do not use any topical product containing harsh chemicals that will irritate your skin. For instance, you should not use any topical cream, ointment, or serum containing retinol. Additionally, your skincare products during this time should be free from acids, including gentle acids, such as glycolic acid or salicylic acid.
If your skin is irritated when you come in for your treatment, your session will need to be rescheduled. Additionally, your skin should not be inflamed when you come in for your session.
Protect Yourself From Sun Damage
Getting sunburned before or after any skincare treatment is one of the worst things you can do. Do your best to minimize the time you spend outside between 10 AM and 4 PM in the week leading up to your session. During these hours, the sun’s UV rays are most powerful and damaging. When you go outside, make sure you’re wearing high-quality sunscreen with enough sun protection factor (SPF) to protect your skin.
Typically, people with lots of melanin in their skin can enjoy adequate protection with an SPF 35 sunscreen. People with very little melanin in their skin need to find a high-quality SPF 55 sunscreen. Remember to reapply your sunscreen every four hours and wear sunglasses and a hat if you’re receiving treatment around your eyes.
Arrive With a Bare Face
You should come to your appointment with a clean, bare face. You should not use any cosmetic products, including makeup, on the morning of your appointment. If you feel like you need to come in wearing makeup because you’re coming from work, that’s fine. Just be aware your makeup will be removed before your session begins. This will add a bit of time to your appointment.
How to Get the Best Results
Once your treatment session is over, there is nothing more important than hydration. While it is very important to protect your skin from sun damage, hydration is the true key to optimal success.
Thanks to the micro-channels produced by the fine-gauge needles puncturing your dermis, topical products will seep into your skin with ease. Hydrate your skin with your favorite gentle serums, creams, and masks. You will get twice the hydrating benefits because of how deeply the topical products will seep into your skin. You will be hydrated from the inside out.
Don’t Wear Makeup
If you have to go back to work after your microneedling session, you may be tempted to apply makeup. Avoid this temptation. For the best results, do not apply makeup within the first 24 hours following your session. Makeup may make you feel good, but it dehydrates your skin. If you spend 24 hours focusing on hydrating your skin, your results will be so dramatic that makeup will no longer be necessary.
Avoid Vigorous Exercise and Other Sweat-Inducing Activities
For the best possible results, do your best to avoid sweating during the first 24 hours following your session. For example, you should take a tepid shower rather than an extremely hot bath. Additionally, you should avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, and dry saunas for 24 hours. Moderate exercise is okay, but vigorous exercise should be avoided.
